Speed mode on the Federal Highway M-3 'Ukraine' section of 124thkm–173rdkmwas increased to 110 km/h

The speed limit at the M-3 Ukraine Federal Highway section ( 124th km - 173rd km) was increased to 110 km/h at 3.00 p.m. on September 17, 2017.

It should be reminded that the traffic at the M-3 Ukraine Federal Highway section ( 124th km - 173rd km) was opened in September 2016. After completion of the reconstruction, it began to correspond to IB technical category, a four-track road with the lack of crossings at the same level and segregated opposed streams of vehicles

Six over-bridges and two overground pedestrian crossings were built, and seven bridges were repaired at the above-mentioned section. Besides, Russia's first ever wildlife crossing was built here, i.e. a grade level crossing for wild animals ensuring the animals’ migration across linear structures, the landscape of which most closely approximates their natural habitat. In December 2016, a transport junction was opened on the 174th km of the highway. Since the start of traffic, motorists were able to cross this section free of charge.

An open toll collection system is in operation at the section. This means that fare is collected at Toll Collection Booths only (TCB), regardless of the distance covered. In case a user drove along the section, but did not pass through a TCB, he/she will not have to pay.
