Expert council discussed roadside services development

At a regular meeting the Expert council of Avtodor State Company discussed roadside services development, the results of activities in 2010 and plans for 2011.  

The event was attended by Avtodor Board Chairman and First Deputy CEO Igor Urmanov, Expert council chairman and head of roadside services department Yevgeny Komardin, deputy head of the road industry department of the Russian Transport Ministry Alexander Prokhodtsev, representatives of the Pan-Russian public organization Business Russia, Pan-Russian public association of small and medium business Opora Russia, and professional associations of road carriers, restaurant and hotel managers, etc.  

Yevgeny Komardin told the meeting about the first auctions for the construction of multifunctional servicing facilities and for the buildup of road infrastructure. Participants discussed various aspects of multifunctional services operations, including rest conditions for drivers and passengers, accessibility for handicapped people, trade in handicrafts. In conclusion Igor Urmanov proposed to invite for cooperation representatives of the emergencies ministry, the communications ministry, the health ministry and other departments for detailed consideration of assistance provision to users of roads and multifunctional services.  

The Expert council of the State Company Russian Highways was set up by the order #92 of 19.07.2010 to promote efficient interaction of the State Company Russian Highways with business circles and the public and engage them in roadside services development to the maximum.
