On August 30, 2018, a ceremony was held to mark the opening of the new section of the M-11 Moscow – St. Petersburg Highway. It runs from the junction with the M-10 Russia Federal Highway on the 58th kilometer and goes around the Moscow satellite towns of Solnechnogorsk and Klin. The bypass of Klin and Solnechnogorsk will be opened for motor-vehicle traffic on September 1, 2018.

On September 1, 2018, at 00:00, the new section of 58th km – 97th km of M-11 Moscow – Saint-Petersburg Highway will be opened for traffic. The opening ceremony will take place in the evening of August 30.

Construction of the second phase of the new high-speed M-11 Moscow-Saint Petersburg Highway (97th km – 149th km) is going on in a non-stop mode. All man-made facilities in this area, including 5 bridges and 16 overpasses, are ready or are on a high level of readiness. The works on the construction of the facilities have been completed; now roads are being built thereon.
