Starting April 15, speed limit to increase at some sections of M-11 Neva and M-4 Don
Starting April 15, owners of cars and trucks with a permissible maximum weight of no more than 3.5 tons will again be able to reach a speed of 130 km/h down the M-11 Neva highway from km 59 in the Moscow region to St. Petersburg.
Since November 7 last year, the maximum permitted speed on the M-11 highway was set at 110 km/h. This measure was necessary to mitigate the risk of road accidents and ensure the safety of motorists in winter.
Also, starting April 15, an increased speed limit will be introduced at sections of the M-4 Don from 296 to 322 km posts, bypassing Efremov in the Tula region and from 1091 to 1119 km posts in the Rostov region. The permitted speed over there will increase from 90 km/h to 110 km/h.
