Russia's road network continues to expand rapidly, and the number of vehicles grows annually. Under these conditions, the industry is forming a new demand to manufacturers and contractors - to reduce the time and cost of work without losing quality. At a special session of the Road Initiatives Forum participants presented to the professional community modern construction technologies, materials and engineering solutions that meet the current market needs.
The meeting was moderated by Konstantin Mogilny, Head of the Technical Policy and Innovative Technologies Department of Russian Highways State Company. The session brought together Russian manufacturers of technologies, materials and means of production, to whom the forum provided an opportunity to present their developments and practical solutions.
Kirill Golyubin, Head of Laboratory Control Department of Russian Highways Engineering LLC, told about the methodology of calculation of additional construction control carried out by instrumental and laboratory methods. According to him, the State Company initiates amendments to profile GOSTs, expanding their application and forming the necessary mechanism for implementing the requirements of technical regulations.
Maxim Khripunov, Deputy General Director of FN Systems LLC, presented domestic software solutions and equipment for road construction. The company launched a full cycle of production of 3D leveling systems in Russia, and, as the speaker noted, the demand for such products is steadily growing.
Oleg Agaryshev, Commercial Director of Status-Grant LLC, told about the application of cold regeneration technology. The technology allows to reuse old asphalt and crushed stone base with the use of accurate computer modeling, creating a new quality road surface with water-repellent properties.
Alexey Korotkov, Senior Manager for Industry Solutions at SIBUR LLC, presented the "light embankment" technology, which is promising for use in mountainous areas, where it is especially important to minimize the load on slopes. The use of calculated solutions allows to optimize the drainage layer of the embankment, reduce the volume of bulk materials and reduce the load on the base. According to the speaker, sand savings can reach 40%. The technology has already been tested on the objects of St. Petersburg.
Andrei Ivanov, Director of Product Development and Marketing of PIK LLC, reminded about the roller fences produced by the company, which are used, among other things, at the facilities of the Russian Highways State Company. According to him, this and other products of the company help to improve the means of traffic organization and are in increasing demand among road owners.
Summarizing the results of the session, Konstantin Mogilny noted that today the industry is particularly interested in domestic technological solutions capable of ensuring efficiency, reliability and economic feasibility of road construction.
"We see that Russian companies are ready to offer competitive technologies and materials, which are already undergoing practical testing on large infrastructure facilities. Such solutions allow not only to improve the quality of road works, but also to form technological independence of the industry", - Konstantin Mogilny emphasized.
