Avtodor signs agreements to create eight multifunctional roadside servicing facilties

Open auctions of the Avtodor State Company resulted in investment agreements to create four multifunctional roadside servicing facilities on the federal M-4 Don highway and another four on the federal M-1 Belarus highway.

The Lipetsknefteproduct Company will invest into four roadside servicing facilities on the following sections of the federal M-4 Don highway: 362 km (left and right side from Moscow) and 394 km (left and right side from Moscow). The Petrol Complex Equipment Company will create four roadside servicing facilities on the federal M-1 Belarus highway – 168 km section (left and right side from Moscow) and 448 km (left and right side from Moscow). Both companies were selected at tenders.

According to the agreements, a multifunctional servicing facility shall include a petrol-filling station, a servicing station for cars and trucks with a carwash and tire shop, parkings for cars and trucks and coaches, a rest area for drivers and passengers, a shop, a café and restaurant, a hotel or motel and a retail trade pavilion.  Investors have to create the servicing facilities not later than 18 months since the agreement comes into force.

”The signing of investment agreements is an important step towards the creation of essentially new multifunctional servicing facilities in our country. They will offer a full set of services to road users. Such an approach has won acclaim in many countries. Pilot projects in trust management of the state company shall demonstrate the advantages of the new approach to roadside services,” said Avtodor First Deputy CEO Igor Urmanov.
