TNK-BP oil major and Russian Highways State Company (Avtodor) signed today a cooperation agreement to develop transport infrastructure in Russia, introduce innovative technologies into the road industry, and raise servicing quality standards and safety on highways.
Avtodor CEO Sergei Kostin, TNK-BP Marketing Vice-President Amir Feizulin and Vice President for business marketing and new business development Dmitry Ustinov signed the document.
The agreement stipulates that TNK-BP and Avtodor will jointly draft proposals to modernize roadside infrastructure, including the design, construction and operation of new formats of multifunctional roadside complexes.
The companies also agreed to promote the development and an early introduction of innovative technologies and materials, including polymer-bitumen bonding ones, to prolong roadway service life and decrease highway construction and operation costs.
“Increased roadside services quality and introduction of innovations are an important component in the development of high-speed roads. We hope the experience of our colleagues from TNK-BP will help considerably upgrade the work,” Sergei Kostin said.
“We highly value cooperation with Avtodor and are convinced that the current agreement is an important step towards modernization of the Russian road network,” Amir Feizulin said. “TNK-BP is a recognized leader in construction and operation of multifunctional petrol-filling complexes, as well in the design of high-tech innovative products some of which will greatly contribute to the improvement of road construction quality.”
TNK-BP and Avtodor will set up working groups that will include experts of both companies to coordinate interaction.
