On the 25th km of the M-1 Belarus Highway, a new traffic intersection is under construction, based on a jughandle with a flyover. Drivers will be able not only to turn around in the other direction but also to drive off the southern part of Odintsovo on M-1.
Now, to drive off Odintsovo to Minka towards Moscow, they have to stand at a traffic light at the intersection of the federal highway with Vostochnaya street. Once the overpass construction is completed, the traffic light will be removed, and the drivers will be able to use the new safe ramp. Besides, the southern part of Odintsovo will be more accessible to transport.
At present, all seven flyover supports have been erected, span structures have been mounted, a road level has been equipped on the ramps, junctions, and entrances thereto. The 21st communication and power supply lines entering the construction site have been reconstructed. The stormwater drain system is 80% complete. Shortly, the builders will have to complete the installation of drains, lay road pavement on ramps, junctions, and transition-speed lanes, and complete the installation of noise screens.
All works are ahead of schedule and must be completed by the end of this year.
