Specialists of the Avtodor State Company Developed the Unified Standard for the Emergency Commissioners Services

Emergency commissioners who have been working on the highways, being in the trust management of the Avtodor State Company, since 2012, will have to work according to the standard.

It was developed by the State Company's specialists so that on the State Company's road network, the emergency commissioners of all operators would act according to a single algorithm, including in the event of an accident and other emergencies For example, they prescribe how to place signs and cones to warn drivers about the need to bypass cars that are forced to stop or got into an accident. It is detailed what emergency commissioners crews must exactly have at hand. Including a crowbar, canister and funnel for filling fuel, a jack with a lifting capacity of 5 tons and LED displays.

The standard also prescribes how exactly they must carry out their duties, patrolling their road section, and what they must pay attention to. For example, in case a vehicle stops on a curve of a high-speed road (prohibited by the Traffic Regulations), the emergency commissioner must ask the driver to move to a rest area or a specially equipped parking lot. In case the driver ignores the request, the commissioner must inform the situation center and record the fact of stopping in the wrong place on a video camera.

Previously, the emergency commissioners acted according to the guidelines and Service Regulations 2012 that laid down the principles of their work. Now they have received a clear, step-by-step guide to action that will help them do their job even more efficiently, as the standard was developed based on eight years of experience.
