Avtodor State Company presented a project for M-12 Highway construction

At the Transport of Russia Exhibition held within Transport Week 2020, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation was presented with the national transport projects at the booth of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

Vyacheslav Petushenko, the Chairman of the Board of the State Company Avtodor, reported to Mikhail Mishustin, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, on implementation of M-12 Highway project, which will connect Moscow and Kazan in 2024.

The Traffic on this highway shall

• reduce the travel time from Moscow to Kazan from 12 to 6 hours (twice);

• improve the level of safety on the way;

• create new jobs in the regions;

• make the agglomerations along which the highway will pass more accessible for tourists and investors.

The project for the construction of the Central Ring Road (CRR), which has been already implementing by the State Company Avtodor, was highly appreciated by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.

Marat Khusnullin, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, informed Mikhail Mishustin that the third launch complex of CRR was equipped with sensors that allow unmanned vehicles to drive along the highway.

Mishustin highly appreciated this, noting that "artificial intelligence and modern technologies will give a completely different level of comfort and cargo traffic".

In his speech at the plenary discussion, Mikhail Mishustin called CRR one of the important road projects. This year, the State Company Avtodor is going to launch traffic at the 4th launch complex of CRR with a length of almost 100 kilometers.

In his speech, Vyacheslav Petushenko also noted that the length of the roads built by the State Company Avtodor was more than 3,600 km, including 1,600 km of toll roads.
