265 units of road equipment will ensure safe traffic along M-4 Don Highway in harsh weather conditions

From January 13 to 15, 2021, Rostov Region will be covered with heavy rainfall and snowstorms at sub-zero temperatures. The weather will also worsen in Tula, Lipetsk, and Voronezh Regions. A drastic frosting and heavy snowfalls are expected there from January 13 to 16.

The Avtodor road services are mobilized to deal with the consequences of bad weather. In Rostov Region, 64 multipurpose road maintenance vehicles, 14 loaders, 14 wheel-tire tractors, 5 land levelers, and 2 snow blowers will be engaged in cleaning and treating the M-4 Don Highway with deicing agents. Also, road workers will use 4 tractors and 6 recovery trucks.

In Tula Region, 44 multipurpose road maintenance vehicles will work on the M-4 Don Highway; another 31 units of special equipment will operate in Lipetsk Region, and 81 vehicles in Voronezh Region.
The drivers are kindly requested to refrain from travel as far as feasible until the weather conditions improve. If, nevertheless, bad weather catches you on the road, please be extremely careful, avoid sudden maneuvers, and keep a safe distance from the neighboring motor vehicles.
