Road builders exert their best efforts to open over 80 km of the M-12 in the Vladimir Region eighteen months ahead of schedule

The Chairman of the Board of "Russian Highways" State Company Vyacheslav Petushenko held an off-site meeting on construction of the 1st and the 2nd stages of the М-12 Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod – Kazan in the Vladimir Region. Measures for early commissioning became its main subject.

This year, road builders plan to open traffic on over 80 km of the M-12 in the Vladimir Region eighteen months ahead of schedule. Car users will be able to drive along the road free of traffic jams and lights, as well as one-level intersections. This will unclog the M-7 Volga, which has essentially become a part of the urban network of settlements in the Vladimir Region.

In order to enable car users to drive from Petushki to the 17Р-2 Vladimir – Gus-Khrustalny –Tuma road, road builders operate in a heavy duty mode at each kilometer on a 24-hour basis. Artificial structures are being constructed, asphalt-concrete pavement is being laid on the bypass road of Petushki, Kosterevo, and Lakinsk. The earth bed for the road pavement is being arranged. Light poles are being mounted, and asphalt-concrete pavement is being laid on a section from the interchange with the М-7 Volga to the 17Р-2 road, which will become the South Vladimir bypass road.
