Winter Speed Limits are Introduced on the M-4 and M-11 Highways

Since November 1, winter speed limits have been introduced on sections of the M-11 Neva and the M-4 Don federal roads.  Changes apply to cars and trucks weighing up to 3.5 tons.

Road sections around the villages of Novaya Usman and Rogachevka on the M-4 (517th km - 544th km) in the Voronezh Region will permit the speed of 110 km/h. The same speed limit is introduced on the M-11 from the 59th to 146th km and from the 210th to 680th km in the Moscow, Tver, Novgorod and Leningrad Regions and St. Petersburg.

Transition to the winter speed mode will ensure safety for motorists in poor weather conditions. The permitted speed at these sections will be increased back to 130 km/h next April.
