About 130 km of M-4 Don renovated in Rostov region

The Russian Highways State Company has completed large-scale works on the comprehensive development of the M-4 Don from 804 to 933 km (from Alekseevo-Lozovskoye to Kamensk-Shakhtinsky). At the section from 907 to 925 km, the road course has been expanded to six lanes.
For about 130 km, everything is provided for the safety of motorists. The road is fitted with electric lighting and ATCS (Automated Traffic Control System) gear, barrier fencing, message boards and road signs.
The entire project was carried into effect using loan financing, which would need to be repaid in the future. The section is currently operating in test mode. Tolls are going to be introduced on June 18, and the proceeds will be spent on the road maintenance, which in this case will also enable to avoid using budget funds, and to pay back the loan financing.
Subscription plans are stipulated for local residents, allowing them to save considerably on travel costs. At the same time, trips within the section without passing toll booths are not going to be charged whatsoever.
Spanning from 804 to 933 km, the renovated section of the first technical category has raised the throughput of the M-4 Don highway in the Rostov region, which will make trips to the Black Sea even faster and more comfortable. Like all across the Russian Highways's highways, there runs a service of emergency commissioners at the section, ready to provide free aid to motorists at any time of day or night. Users can cut their travel time, get to the point of their destination as soon as planned, comfortably and safely.
