More than 250 km of the M-4 Don highway was repaired in 2023

Only in the Rostov region, over 65 km have been repaired at the M-4 Don.

The Russian Highways State Company is reconstructing M-4 in Rostov region in stages, not to cause great inconvenience in the season when people massively go on vacation go south, yet still systematically reconstructs the entire highway, section by section.

Moreover, road resurfacing activities go on, with defects forming in areas that have not yet been reconstructed, due to harsh weather conditions and frequent freezing. The road workers are eliminating potholes at the 995-1007 km section (from Moscow to Novorossiysk) and the 968-960 section (from Novorossiysk to Moscow). The work is performed using cast-in-place and hot mix asphalt, as well as asphalt pelletized concrete. About 100 employees and about 70 units of machinery are engaged in the operation.

In the aggregate, more than 250 km were renovated all along the M-4 Don highway. The most important works at the southern artery of the country were concentrated in Lipetsk, Tula, Rostov Regions and Krasnodar Krai.

This is just a fraction of the changes that have taken place on M-4 Don this year. The construction of the Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar Bypasses and the redevelopment of the highway near Gelendzhik were finished ahead of schedule.
