Central Ring Road Records Over 322 Million Trips Since Launch

The Central Ring Road (CRR) is one of the largest infrastructure projects in recent years in the Moscow Region. Full-scale traffic along the entire route was officially launched on July 8, 2021, by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. Since then, motorists have made over 322 million trips on this highway.
These figures clearly demonstrate the high demand for the CRR among drivers. The road is noted for its superior transport and operational characteristics, offering high capacity and all necessary conditions for safe and efficient travel.
The most heavily used section of the CRR since its full launch remains the stretch between the M-4 "Don" highway and Kaluzhskoye Highway, with an average daily traffic volume of approximately 19,000 trips.
The second most popular section runs from Domodedovo to the M-7 "Volga" highway, recording an average of about 17,500 trips per day over the past few years. The third place is occupied by the bypass around the village of Malye Vyazemy, which was opened to traffic in December of last year. It quickly gained popularity among drivers, and the current average daily traffic volume has reached 14,100 trips.
Traffic levels also remain consistently high on the section from the M-7 "Volga" to the M-11 "Neva" highway, with an average of 10,600 trips per day. The stretch between the M-10 "Russia" and the M-11 "Neva" sees around 7,000 trips per day.
The total length of the Central Ring Road exceeds 340 kilometers. It runs through the Moscow Region approximately 50 kilometers outside the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD), directly connecting numerous districts of the region. The road has made it possible to divert transit traffic away from 13 urban districts of the Moscow Region, reduce the load on the MKAD, A-107, and A-108 highways, improve accessibility to Moscow's airports for regional residents, and strengthen connectivity between key regional and federal routes in the Moscow Region.
Modernization efforts on the CRR are ongoing. Currently, construction is underway on a major interchange at the intersection with Dmitrovskoye Highway.
