M-4 "Don" and M-11 "Neva" highways now have higher speed limits.

A higher speed limit for passenger and commercial vehicles with a maximum weight of 3.5 tons will be implemented on some stretches of the M-4 "Don" and M-11 "Neva" roads beginning on April 13, 2026.   Due to the arrival of pleasant weather and to guarantee more comfortable transportation, the restrictions that were in place during the winter have been lifted.
Thus, the section of M-4 "Don" from 297th to 322nd km will have the maximum permitted speed of 110 km/h. Similarly, drivers on the M-11 "Neva" highway will be able to travel up to 130 km/h on the stretch from the 59th km in the Moscow region to St. Petersburg.   Additionally, the portion of the highway M-4 "Don" that bypasses the settlements of Novaya Usman and Rogachevka from 517th to 544th km will allow for a comparable speed.
Every year in the spring and summer, speed limit increases are implemented subject to required conditions for road safety.
