Next year, over 80 km of the R-260 Federal Highway to be repaired in the LPR

In 2024, the Russian Highways State Company will redevelop a 83 km section of the R-260 Federal Highway from Rostov Region to Lugansk, including a bypass of Lugansk up to the intersection with the Highway R-150 that runs through Belgorod, Starobelsk, Lugansk, Donetsk and Mariupol.

The works started ahead of schedule — later this year. Road workers of the Russian Highways State Company are cleaning the right-of-way, have begun milling the old road surface and installing asphalt concrete pavement.
Also, as part of the works, culverts, barrier fencing, curb will be restored, and slopes will be strengthened. Furthermore, the bridge and overpass on the Lugansk bypass section are to be reconstructed.

Next year, it is scheduled to restore about 300 km of roadways all across the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic.
